MapQuestCarl Pritchard returns home to Frederick, bringing with him an entertaining look at how we can win hearts and influence others in a world where it often seems like we have little or no authority...but mountains of responsibility. Carl examines some of the specific tools that you can use to flex different types of authority and to get others on board to accomplish what you need them to accomplish. He looks at the specific actions that make you the resident authority of project management and that open the door for others to serve as your best supporters in getting projects to successful outcomes.
Carl Pritchard, PMP, PMI-RMP, EVP is the principal of Pritchard Management Associates, and a recognized lecturer and author on a variety of project management and risk management topics. He has authored six project management texts, produced the Virtual RMP-Prep Training program, co-produced the landmark "Portable PMP Prep" CD Audio series with LeRoy Ward, and is the U.S. Correspondent for the British project management magazine, "Project Manager Today." He serves on the board of directors of ProjectConnections.com and has presented in the PMI SeminarsWorld series for the last 17 years. He is the lead chapter author for the Risk Management chapter of the "Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), 4th Edition . Meeting starts with Networking at 6:00pm followed by dinner and the presentation for an hour. Meeting normally ends by 9:00pm.
