PMIBC’s most important goal is to actively promote and develop the Project Management profession within our community. We are always looking for new ways to engage our membership in an effort to educate, share lessons learned, exchange best practices, and grow with the Project Management community and its ecosystems. That’s why we are excited and proud to announce our annual Project of the Year Award.
Our Chapter aligns its goals and mission with those of PMI®. These include:
We simply cannot think of a better way to continue meeting these goals than by recognizing a local project team for their excellence in Project Management! This excellence is demonstrated through the execution of the processes and procedures consistent with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide – Fourth Edition).
Links to the PMI BC 2012 POY guidelines and application are below. The instructions are in pdf format, while the application is in MS Word format. Please submit the MS Word document after you have completed the application.
Below, we’ve provided some information on the PMI Project of the Year Award. This award is completely separate from the Baltimore Chapter’s award and they are not mutually exclusive. You can win both! We encourage you to apply for the POY Global Operations in addition to the PMIBC POY award. Although you must apply for each separately, the information required to apply for both awards is similar.
The 2012 PMI Project of the Year (POY) Award recognizes the accomplishments of a project and project team for superior performance and exemplary execution of project management using processes and approaches that are consistent with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide – Fourth Edition). Projects from around the world are invited to participate, regardless of size, industry type or location.
Please note: The call for nominations for 2012 PMI Professional Awards opens on November 1, 2011 and closes March 1, 2012.
