“Achieving Project Management Success in the Government” is based on the research and experience of the authors of the book of the same name. The session will provide attendees with practical lessons from real success stories across all levels of government, different organization types, and across the spectrum of project management processes and practices.
Jonathan Weinstein, PMP, has worked in a variety of roles in the project management and management consulting arena in his nearly 20 year career. His project experience spans the private sector organizations from insurance to IT and the public sector including agencies at all levels of government – local, state, and federal, civilian and defense. Mr. Weinstein has been a featured speaker at US and international conferences and seminars.
Tim Jaques is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP)who has spent more than a dozen years helping clients tackle tough problems applying the discipline of project management. He has worked in a variety of federal and state government agencies where he has managed projects, developed project management methodologies and PMOs, and delivered training in a variety of subjects.
Jon and Tim co-authored, “Achieving Project Management Success in the Federal Government” (Management Concepts, 2010), as well as chapters in two recent books and numerous articles on project management and other topics.
Jon and Tim are founding partners at Line of Sight (www.line-of-sight.com). The firm delivers project management, process reengineering, and organizational change management services to government and private sector clients.

Meeting Information
The PMI Baltimore Chapter hosts monthly dinner meetings and bi-monthly luncheon meetings.
Dinner meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month and alternate between the Crowne Plaza in Timonium MD and the Ramada Inn BWI in Hanover MD. They start at 6:00 PM.
We will be having bi-monthly Annapolis dinner meetings on the fourth Wednesday of the month at Carrol's Creek Cafe. The Annapolis meetings start at 5:30 with an hour for networking, dinner starts at 6:30, and the presentation starts at 7:30.
We will also be having a bi-monthly dinner meeting in the Salisbury, MD area on the alternating months on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Adam's the Place for Ribs restaurant in Fruitland. The Eastern Shore dinner meetings start at 6:00 PM.
Every other month, we will be meeting in Frederick, MD, at the Red Horse Steak House. Networking starts at 6pm, with dinner at 7pm, and a presentation starting promptly at 8pm.
We also hold luncheon meetings in Columbia, MD on the fourth Monday of the month at the Howard County Business Center, 6751 Columbia Gateway, Columbia, MD 21046. These meetings start at 11:30 AM. Please note that payment for the Columbia luncheon meeting is at the door. Online payment via PayPal is currently not available for the Columbia luncheon meetings.
We also have events at NASA Space Flight Facility at Wallops Island, VA and at Aberdeen, MD.
