Candidate Evaluation and Selection
-
The Chapter President will appoint a Selection Committee that will consist of 3-5 current members of the Baltimore Chapter. The Selection Committee will be chaired by the Chapter's Chief Operating Officer, include one member of the Chapter’s Board and one to three PMI members. No one from the Selection Committee may be related in any way to any applicants. In such event, the Chapter’s President or designee will remove the person from the Selection Committee and appoint a non-related committee person.
-
To ensure fairness, the name of the applicant will be encoded into a random number identifier. Then, the application, supporting documents and essay will be evaluated by the Selection Committee and entered into a matrix (to be developed). The scholarships will be awarded to the applicants who have the three highest matrix scores. Finally, the random number identifier will be decoded to reveal the applicant’s name. In other words, the Selection Committee will not know the names of the applicants until the winners are decoded.
