Below are descriptions of current volunteering opportunities:

PMI Regional 5 Leadership Conference

Next year the Baltimore Chapter is hosting the PMI Region 5 Leadership Conference which will take place Thursday, January 27, 2011 through Saturday evening, January 29th at the Intercontinental Harbor Court Hotel in Baltimore City.

This is a significant event consisting of exhibitions, guest speakers, breakout discussions, presentations, and tours. With such a full agenda, we will need 8-10 volunteers to assist Board Members in executing the conference efficiently. Volunteers will be required to validate and greet registrants, handle various types of communications, manage logistics, assist attendees and guest speakers, and provide technical support. If you are interested and want more information, please send an e-mail to the address below.

Volunteers for PMI Member (Blind)

Special volunteers are needed to assist and transport a blind PMI member to and from site meetings. Our member lives in downtown Baltimore on Fayette Street and works at the Social Security Administration campus on Woodlawn Ave, just off the Baltimore Beltway. Also, the member is looking for assistance in working thru preparing the PMP application, and then for someone(s) willing to share their skills and knowledge to mentor and tutor him in preparing for the PMP exam. If you can help in any capacity, even if just one time, (it will make a difference) please send an e-mail to the address below. Please help us to help this special, dedicated member.

Annual Golf Tournament

Chris Converse is still looking for volunteers to help with the Annual Golf Tournament which will be held on Friday, October 1st. All interested volunteers will be required to solicit corporate sponsor for the event. Awards and recognition will be presented to volunteers who reach specific sponsorship milestones. Chris will then select a few of those volunteers to work the day of the event.

Site Volunteers

Mike Berendt is always evaluating the changing requirements of various sites and matching needs with potential volunteers. If you are interested in assisting the Site Directors, please let me know which location you are interested in.

To be considered for any of the above opportunities, please send me an e-mail and specify your interest.

Sincerely,
Donna Anders, PMP
